This year at Coasting for Kids at Cedar Fairs 11 parks around the country and in Canada, participants had a 5th straight record year of fundraising. They raised over $150,000. This takes the 5 year total over $350,000. As you can see in the photo below, Great Ohio Coaster Club managed to raise nearly $5,000. And, that was just at Cedar Point. We had members at other parks as well and in total raised over $6,000! Great job everyone!

The Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary this weekend, and visitors to the park will have a rare opportunity for a behind the scenes tour for it's operation.

10:30 a.m.— Ceremony featuring John Hildebrandt, Peanuts characters and a special VIP family

11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Self-guided tours of the engine house (guests can see how the trains operate and meet the engine house staff). At 4 p.m., there will be a reunion of past CP & LE Railroad employees at the Engine House, so guests can also mingle with them to learn more about the history of the railroad.

Each day from next weekend through the rest of the season, railroad staff will choose a guest conductor who will receive a special pin, engineer’s hat and photo opportunity. They’ll be able to ride in the front row of the car, ring the bell signaling the train can leave the station and sign a banner at the main station. |

The GOCC Holiday Party will be held on Saturday December 14th at Kennywood, and will feature admission to Kennywood's 3rd Annual Holiday Lights event.

MASON, Ohio – Brady Bunch stars Christopher Knight (front row right), Susan Olsen (front row left) and Barry Williams (second row right) enjoy a ride on the Racer roller coaster at Kings Island on Sunday. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the “Cincinnati Kids” episode filmed at the 364-acre amusement and waterpark in 1973, the trio returned to Kings Island and entertained park guests during four live shows of singing, dancing and Brady Bunch anecdotes.
